Marie Khouri
Born in Egypt, raised in Lebanon and based between Vancouver and Paris, artist Marie Khouri's work explores language, belonging and exile.
Her early career as a language interpreter formed Khouri's sculptural arabesque shapes in her work. She studied at the L'Ecole du Louvre in Paris, with her sculpture's curved forms referencing Arabic calligraphy and Arabic letters, transmitting movement and messages of community and connection through art.
Khouri has widely exhibited in North America and Europe, as well as having over 25 public artworks in Canada and abroad. Large sculptures inspired by architectural structures sit in public spaces in dialogue with nature and cityscapes, interiors and architecture.
Flowing, curved, poetic and sensuous elements stem from Khouri's sublime sculptures Let's Sit and Talk and Baheb/I Love, works of art that provoke universal sentiments and encourage organic connections.
For the 6th edition of Menart Fair in Paris, Marie Khouri will be showing her sculptures at the fair from 25th to 27th October 2025 in Paris, 116 Rue de Turenne.
